Haiti Communitere provides accommodation for children requiring medical attention and their parents/guardians. There is a severe lack of accommodation for children and their families who need to travel to Port-au-Prince from the countryside for medical attention. We aim to fill this gap by providing young patients and their caregivers with a safe, comfortable place to stay.
While staying with us families can feel totally at home, making full use of our space, cooking in our fully equipped communal kitchen and relaxing in our garden. Almost all of our staff are Haitian and they are used to welcoming these children and their families.
Price: Children under 12 stay for free. We charge $10 per night for Haitian parents/guardians. This fee goes to support our community resource center and thus provides assistance to the organizations that are housed on our base. Every cent goes back into the community. Students and Vulnerable Youth
Haiti Communitere provides low-cost accommodation to Haitian students and vulnerable young people. Students who benefit from this have the opportunity to live on our ample base and enjoy a safe space for studying. In order to qualify for this accommodation, they must be: (i) over the age of 18 years old; (ii) sponsored by an organization that Haiti Communitere partners with; (iii) actively engaged in studies or an internship.
